Thanksgiving!!

Thanksgiving is here! As I reflect back on the past year, things have gone so quickly. It seems like what used to be an hour, is now 1/2 hour. I swear time is actually going faster and speeds up all the time!

What am I thankful for?? MANY things.

My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is my Number 1 person I am thankful for.

My husband is the most important person to me here on this earth. He is my best friend and I find myself missing him when we have time apart. He is my everything.

My Daughter Jenelle is the light of my life! She is my best friend and I love her dearly. She has grown to be an amazing woman and an awesome wife to her husband and mother to her children. Her husband Brad has been a welcome addition to our family! He takes good care of Jenelle and the grandkids!

My Son Andy is such a wonderful person! He has grown up to be an amazing man and continues to be an awesome son as well as an awesome husband to his wife and father to his sons. Brittany (his wife) is such a great addition to our family! We love her lots and are glad she helps keep Andy in line! :)

My Son Bryce is an amazing son. He helps me out when I need it. He has grown into a wonderful, caring, loving man who tried to act tough but mama knows better! His girlfriend Kim is such an awesome addition to our family!

My oldest grandson Parker (Batman) is such a handsome boy! I love him very much. He always comes and finds me and gives me a hug when he comes over. He always tells me about the fun he's having.

My grand-daughter Audrey is beautiful and has a little angel voice! She is always full of loves and kisses and loves her purses!

My grand-daughter Brooklyn is my cuddle bear. She loves to be with me and sit on my lap. She is also beautiful and loves to sing!

My grandson Dayton is full of life and vitality! He goes and goes and goes! He has a great smile also and gives good hugs. Such a handsome boy!

My grandson Bentley is just learning to roll over. He is very snuggly! I will enjoy it while I can. He has a great smile! Such a handsome boy!

What are you thankful for??

Remembering

Today I have a full heart. Yesterday was veteran's day. I can't help but think of all those who have put their lives on the line and have fought so diligently for our country.
I am so thankful for their willingness to fight for me and my freedoms. I am definitely privileged to live in a great country. I wonder how many people truly realize how lucky we are here. People seem to take the things we have for granted nowadays. I watch the news and listen to the radio and have such sadness come over me. Is our country really becoming what it is? Are we really trampling each others freedoms and rights? Every day, the spiral downward seems to get faster and faster. Spinning out of control.
Then I think of our founding fathers. They went through this too. The constitution was written because of the same types of things we are experiencing. I cheer up some! I know that if things were fixed back then, they can be now. I know that "We the People" are as strong now as they were back then. I see a flag waving in the breeze and a smile appears on my face. It still stands strong, ever present and beautiful.  I am comforted and know that things will get better. May God bless America and may we return to being one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
